3: Is InThrMa safe to use?

Yes. InThrMa polling uses the standard Proliphix API and adheres to the API usage guidelines suggested by Proliphix.

4: How does InThrMa work?
|
With InThrMa there is no software to download, install or update. InThrMa is accessed from your web browser - at home, at work or from your mobile phone. Our servers poll your thermostats over the internet and store the collected data in our secure database.

6: Does my Proliphix Thermostat need internet access?

Yes. Otherwise we'd be in the magic business - and that we are not...

7: Do I need a static IP address?
|
Yes. We need to be able to reach your thermostat/s regularly. If you have a dynamically assigned IP address (as most home broadband users do), you can easily mitigate this issue with a free service like DynDNS.org

9: Do I need any special plugins for my browser to use InThrMa?
|
Just one. Our graphing modules use Adobe Flash which you probably already have installed in your browser. You might want to upgrade to the latest version which can be found at Adobe.com.

12: How does this work?
|
On a schedule we poll both your thermostat and weather data to get all the relevant data. We store all this data on our secure database servers and then we analyze and calculate relevant statistics that help you better manage your energy consumption.

13: How much network bandwidth does InThrMa consume?
|
Each site can be slightly different based on implementation details but you should see no more than 3MB of traffic per thermostat per day. That's less than a single MP3 file download.

14: What mobile browsers are supported for the mobile version of InThrMa?
|
We've tested the mobile site with the following mobile device/browser combinations:
- Windows Mobile 5 & 6 (Pocket Internet Explorer)
- Blackberry's Browser
- iPhone & iPod Touch (all)
- Google's G1 Android Phone
- Treo 650+ (Blazer browser)
Opera Mini currently has JavaScript incompatibilities that interfere with this feature (mobile Proliphix access) - stay tuned for an update on Opera Mini.

15: How does billing for InThrMa work?
|
InThrMa does annual billing - 2 weeks before your account expires you will receive an invoice for next years subscription. We use Google Checkout (GC) for all of our billing. Google Checkout is very much like Paypal but far simpler to use for all involved. Since we use GC we never see or have access to your credit card number.
